Hear from those who have experienced the rewards of volunteering with us
Volunteering at Centered Family Support Services has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Even though I'm helping with administrative tasks, I can see how my contribution makes a difference in the organization's ability to serve families effectively.
I started volunteering to gain experience in event planning, but I've gained so much more. The joy on the faces of the families we serve during our community events is priceless. I've developed skills I never expected and made meaningful connections with amazing people.

Common questions about volunteering with us
We welcome volunteers with various availability. Some roles require a regular commitment (e.g., 4 hours weekly or bi-weekly), while others are project-based or event-specific. During your orientation, we'll discuss your availability and find opportunities that match your schedule.
Most volunteer roles don't require specific qualifications. We provide training for all positions. What's most important is your compassion, reliability, and willingness to learn. Some specialized roles may benefit from relevant experience, but we have opportunities for everyone regardless of background.
Absolutely! We welcome corporate volunteer groups, community organizations, and student groups. Group volunteering can be arranged for special events, projects, or ongoing support. Contact our volunteer coordinator to discuss group opportunities.
Our general minimum age is 18 for most positions. However, we do offer family-friendly volunteer opportunities and special youth volunteer programs for those 14-17 with parental consent and supervision. Contact us to learn about age-appropriate opportunities.
