Our History
15+ years of dedicated service to families and individuals with developmental disabilities
CFS Establishment
Coordinated Family Support (CFS) Services were formally established in June 2022 in California through the State Budget Trailer Bill for developmental services, SB 188, recognizing the need for specialized support for adults with disabilities living with their families.
CFS Pilot Program
The CFS Services Pilot Program was officially launched in January 2023, with our organization being among the first to implement these vital services for families in our community.
Foundation
Centered Family Support Services was founded by Misha Sheffield, who brought over 15 years of experience in the Support Living and Healthcare industry. The organization was established alongside Centered Support Services, which offers supportive living and independent living services.
Family Training Program
We launched our comprehensive Family Training Program, designed to equip caregivers with specialized skills and knowledge to support their loved ones more effectively.
Future Planning Initiative
We introduced our Future Planning services to help families prepare for long-term care and support needs, addressing one of the most significant concerns for aging caregivers.
Digital Transformation
We embraced technology to enhance our service delivery, implementing digital tools for care coordination, virtual support options, and improved communication with families.
Continued Growth
Today, we continue to grow and evolve our services to meet the changing needs of families, maintaining our commitment to providing personalized, family-centered support that empowers both individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.

Misha Sheffield
Founder & Executive DirectorWith over 15 years of experience in the Support Living and Healthcare industry, Misha founded CFSS in 2023 alongside Centered Support Services to provide comprehensive family support.
